According to tradition and etiquette, wedding stationery will often include a small bit of tissue that sits on top of the main invitation panel. Years ago, when invitations were written by hand with an ink pen, the purpose of the tissue was to protect the wording from getting smudged or smeared. Most brides choose to forego this piece of tradition, arguing that it is old-fashioned and unnecessary. Here's a modern approach to this longstanding tradition.
We created a custom monogram to be printed on the translucent overlay, resulting in an invitation that's super chic, but maintains the integrity of a traditional, elegant and classic look. The monogram is then carried through to the insert cards, beverage napkins, thank you cards, favor tags, and so on! No longer boring and overdone, but personal and modern! How refreshing!
